Frenchy kicked off 2025 in true New Orleans fashion—on the water and in full color—as the official live painter aboard the 2nd Annual Big Easy Cruise. Over the course of the voyage, Frenchy captured the heart and soul of this floating musical celebration with 13 original live paintings, each created in real-time as the music unfolded.
From the soulful depth of Keb’ Mo’ to the fiery energy of Trombone Shorty, Frenchy was on deck—brush in hand—channeling every beat into bold, expressive works of art. He painted Anders Osborne twice, each performance bringing a different flavor to canvas, and likewise delivered two powerful tributes to the swamp-blues legend Tab Benoit.
Other live sets immortalized on canvas included the iconic Blind Boys of Alabama, the electric synergy of the Allman Betts Band, the brass-fueled fire of The Soul Rebels, and the keys-and-voodoo magic of both Jon Cleary and Marcia Ball.
The result? A floating gallery of live energy, captured brushstroke by brushstroke. This voyage wasn’t just a musical journey it was a full-blown visual story told in Frenchy’s signature style.
Collectors take note: this series stands as a vivid reflection of New Orleans spirit at sea, and one of Frenchy's most dynamic event runs to date.
